1944 Senkow 4/4 Violin. This instrument is thought of as the best overall sounding violin made by Walt Senkow. Beautiful and unusual one piece well pronounced tiger flamed maple back with matching ribs. Original yellowish amber linseed oil varnish. No repairs noted. This instrument has been played on by a DSO (Dallas Symphony Orchestra) violinist and deemed exceptional in both sound quality and workmanship. Signature label. The final photo of back tends to show true color of instrument better than the others. Note that the neck length on this instrument is slightly longer than standard.
