Comment: This is a great looking site - almost as beautiful as the instruments you are showing. I certainly hope that some of these beautiful instruments get out to be enjoyed by the music loving public.

Comment: Danny used to come to me for violin lessons in the mid-2000s. Sometimes he would bring his father's violins as well as ones he had finished himself for me to play. Not only are they meticulously hand crafted, but they sound amazing. My typical reaction to his violins was "Wow! This sounds and plays superior to the violin I'm playing now." As with all great violins, Senkow violins sound better as they age. This is perhaps the most important quality to consider when choosing a violin.

Comment: I own a 1969 Senkow violin. It is a beautiful instrument unique to other violins. Notches at the bottom of the f-holes. A deep trough on the outer edge of the front and back. Definitely a Guarneri silhouette. It has a very deep, warm, and rich tone, excellent tonality, and the wood is extremely tiger striped. Very playable. I am buying another Senkow violin in December, 2017. His son, Danny, has maintained the same quality and Walt Senkow secrets and continues in his father's footsteps. Danny's f-holes are some of the most beautiful I have ever seen. Each one takes 8 hours to carve. Buy one and you will never regret it. Enjoy a truly magnificent violin.

Comment: Hello, I own a 1975 Senkow violin which I acquired from the master himself. I have great memories of visiting your Dad at his home in Dallas and discussing violins and violin making with him. I really love his violin and it continues to give a certain difficult-to-describe richness. I wish I could acquire another one! Regards Vasudev Murthy Bangalore, India
