Comment: I own a 1969 Senkow violin. It is a beautiful instrument unique to other violins. Notches at the bottom of the f-holes. A deep trough on the outer edge of the front and back. Definitely a Guarneri silhouette. It has a very deep, warm, and rich tone, excellent tonality, and the wood is extremely tiger striped. Very playable. I am buying another Senkow violin in December, 2017. His son, Danny, has maintained the same quality and Walt Senkow secrets and continues in his father's footsteps. Danny's f-holes are some of the most beautiful I have ever seen. Each one takes 8 hours to carve. Buy one and you will never regret it. Enjoy a truly magnificent violin. |
